Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe a situation using an ethnographic approach to the Miyah language in Tambrauw Regency. The research method in this study is descriptive qualitative with a listening method approach, interviews and direct involvement methods. As the main instrument for Miyah language speakers, it is the main data source for obtaining the required data

The results of the research show that the morphological affixation of the Miyah language in Tambaruw Regency is the morphological affixation of verbs in the form of prefixes attached to the basic morphemes in these verbs causing a morphophonemic process which is verb replacement. In the Miyah language there are findings such as the word Memikul (Sese Ania) , Sharpening (Sehsoh Ania), Solving (Pikre Ania), Taking Note (Koom Po), Giving Alms (Som Po). In the prefix {m} only in roots that start with the phonemes /w/, /o/, and /u/. This prefix does not change the form of the word. The subject prefixes explained above are words in sampling form with a subject
